*New MMU skate Club T-Shirt

Hey guys,

it's been 2 years since our last club T-Shirt, and it's time to change.
We are going to make a NEW club T-Shirt with NEW DESIGN.
So we need some idea(s) from you guys to help us out.

our current design:
link

the new design:
**Coming soon**

tips:
1) more color means higher price
2) the design must contain our club logo: link

3) the design must contain text "walking is so slow"

If you have any interesting/creative design, you can submit a softcopy to ben( chatter_ben@hotmail.com) by 25th July 2010.
All the submitted design will posted up and the one with the most "like" will be chosen as the final design.
preferable in picture in .jpg or .png (roughly 1000 x 1000-as long as able to view the detail of your design) format

PS: The printing and pricing will be decided later on. Design comes first.

Thanks.

Skate Class Open for Registration

Hi skaters!

We had seen that most of the skaters really enjoy our 2 hours workshop provided by 12Skate, and the response is quite good, as a lot of skaters decided to continue the class to learn more advance technique.

Our classes will be started on next Wednesday (7th July), in FIT Atrium Ground floor.
HOWEVER, due to this overwhelmed response and limited instructors and skates, we had to set a limit for the number of seats in each classes.

There will be 2 sessions going on Wednesday: 8pm-9pm, and 9:30pm-10:30pm, skaters can choose to come on ONLY ONE session.

Maximum Number per class:
Each session will have maximum 25 students only. (Means, 25 students in 8-9pm, and 25 students in 9:30pm – 10:30pm) Sorry for any inconvenience.

Coaching fee:
A fee for this semester is RM25. So the total amount you need to pay is RM25 + RM12 (if you wish to rent skates for a month)

Skate Rental for class:
the skate rental is RM3 per session, but for convenience we will collect 1 month advance which is rm12 (4 times)
PS: a refund will be given back if you get your own skate in between the month. Skates can only use for 1 hour for each session.

Register:
For those who interested, please register your name by putting a comment in our Facebook discussion post, include:
- Your real name (not Facebook name)
- Student ID
- time slot you prefer. (8pm or 9:30pm)
- skate size

(To prevent confusions, any people who leave their name and Id in this blog is not taken as registered. Please do it in Facebook only)

Only the first 25 people who register in each session will be accepted. Pay RM25 on the day you attend class.

Thank you all for the support of this sport!

One Crazy Act

We human must have some crazy act in our life, small or big, memorable one.

25th April, V, Ben, and Meshaal, did one, by skating from Alamanda Putrajaya to MMU Cyberjaya.

Driving distance is about 20 minutes, but we spent 1 hour and 45 minutes, include wrong road.

The journey is not easy, because of the up and down terrain, and terrible road surface, but, we made it~ safely without injury!

Actually this session was first time for most of us, without much experience on this kind of surface. Speed is very fast when going downward, and require enough balancing skills to keep rolling.

However, no pain no gain, nice try guys!

on a rainy Wednesday(27/1/2010), Ben+V+WK found a new place to buy skates

shop name:Wheel love Enterprise
venue: 28, Subang Jaya ss15/4 (near where Ben stays)
Boss name: Su Keats

this place sells lots of hand made T-shirts, skateboards, agro skates, recreational skates, snacks(mamee monster...) and MANY MORE.
BTW the best part of this shop is the main door is at the side... so try not to go upstairs to find the shop.

for more info you can visit the website: http://shop.wl33.com/

Our new acquaintance

After skating for a few years in the "dark", a light is going to shine upon us...
=Skip the long winding=

Ben somehow manage to know a guy(aka ccSiang) from a forum, who somehow know a honorable friend (aka ken soo), who wants to form a team for Malaysia.

the team will be consist of 2 types of skaters: slalomer and slider.

After several meet ups, Ken has promise to borrow us some skates (various size) and some other equipment(s) to help us in our beloved and UNOFFICIAL club, do not have to borrow newbies our beloved/expensive skates (esp V). Ken is also willing to talk to our MMU sports division and HOPEFULLY this time WE CAN BE OFFICIAL~!!!!!!

Furthermore to enhance our skill of slaloming/sliding/skating, Ken is also bringing honorable professional skaters all the way from Singapore to support us. (how cool is that?)

There are more cool stuff(s) but yet to be announce...

Ken's greatest hope is to increase skaters/slalomers/sliders in Malaysia and hope that we as Malaysia can appear in the Slalom competition in August at Korea.

you guys can visit this website for more info: http://www.worldslalomseries.com/

Currently now our clubs got only 3 slalomers and 1 slider, hope in the near future more will emerge......

PS: sorry no picture to show Ken face...
