TerryFox Run 2009

Intro:
Terry Fox knew personally, the importance of the need for cancer research. At the age of 18, he was told that his right leg had to be amputated above the knee as a result of bone cancer. During this crucial period, Terry saw the intense pain and despair of other cancer victims and was deeply moved. In order to raise funds for cancer research, he decided to run across Canada asking for donations. This became ‘The Marathon of Hope’?. Terry Fox died before he could complete his crusade, but his legacy is carried in the hearts of all who participate or donate to the Terry Fox Run each year around the world.

being invaded <- Inti Nilai skaters

last monday 3 skaters from Inti Nilai came to invade us MMU skaters...All the way from Inti Nilai, they drove to MMU and spend a splendid skating night with us.
As our guest of honor, ben and V took them skating around MMU before they left,
5 go...
and 5 survive back....
(thank lord)

sadly one of them have to go bck early for MEETING, or else they could have stayed longer for supper or something...

A quiet Monday

Its just been 3 weeks since MMU re-opens...
skaters.. WHERE ARE YOU?

only 7 skaters came... SW, HM, BN, CS, WS, ZM,HK...
maybe others came but saw nobody then went back..
THIS IS BECAUSE 7 of us somehow travel in the campus instead of just staying at FIT Atrium...

we conquered and hang around MPH, library, FOE, FCM, Misri Plaza, Central Plaza, and the some road of MMU...

it was an interesting night, sorry for those who came late and unable to join the quest..

PS: sorry, there is no cameraMan= no picture= no prove it happen = lol.

Lastly do not forget to start printing those flyers and start promoting...

Recruitment

MMU club registration week (week 4 ~>6-8th July) is coming really soon. It is time for us to recruit some freshies to be in part of our skaters community.

so i hope some/all of you skaters can put a bit of afford in getting some new skaters...
although we are not an official club, means we will not have our own booth during the club registration week, but we must never let our skating spirit die in MMU...
so i suggest we could just give out flyers, and let the crowd come to us naturally...haha

Last Skating in Trimester 3.

Finally, 1 semester almost passed. Everyone will having their final exam soon, and getting busier.

Quiet Monday Night.

This was a quiet Monday night. Maybe due to exams, assignments, and the damn rainy weather.

But still some skaters shown up~

Aiya, Khai Wen blocked. Under some stupid request, V was asked to show 'scolding' face... SS.

Hao Yee was accidentally passed by, and tried out skating. Not bad~ Fun leh~

BHP Orange Run 2009 is coming~

DATE : 12 April 2009 (Sunday)
VENUE : Piazza, The Curve, Mutiara Damansara, PJ
START TIME : 7.30 am
ORGANISER : BHPetrol
Difficulty: Available some slopes, so must be able to do braking.

This is a 12km marathon, however, we will be... skating!!!  No registration fee, just show up, and have fun! (The only thing which is hard is to wake up early... ha)

We will depart from Cyberjaya at 6:45am, please wait at roundabout if interested. MUST inform V or Ben if interested.

Skating is back in MMU for this semester~ 

The End of 2008

On 22 June 2008, MMU Skate Club just starts by having 8 members. As the semester goes, skate club becomes more and more big. With the help of promotion skater for Green Club and GDC on the 2nd week of second semester in MMU, skate club has grown bigger by adding new international skaters and a coach. The compound we normally skate, FIT Atrium usually we having problems from the guards but thank to Vzai, the president we can skate at FIT Atrium LEGALLY.

Although we have some skaters are MIA-ing but we still have a lot of active skaters. We also join a lot of skate event organized by Skateline and we even create our own “Sunday Night Skate” and have 1 “Friday Night Skate”. Some of the skaters also meet the best slalomers in the world by just joining the event organized by Skateline.

At 31 December 2008, MMU skate club has grown from 8 members to 25 members. 2009, Skate Club will still going to grow bigger and bigger.
